Only 29% of all employees are fully engaged
Have you been asking yourself any of these questions regarding your organization? Do you sometimes have the feeling that some of your employees are not fully engaged? en you certainly are not alone – the most recent Gallup Engagement Survey shows that only 29% of all employees are fully engaged in the work- place. is means that even seasoned managers regularly face challenges with their teams and organizations.
What a True Leader is
There are answers to the questions raised above. During my work as a leadership trainer and consultant, I have had the opportunity to work with hundreds of experienced leaders at international companies, many of which are top in their class.
In the course of this work, I have been able to identify a number of basic learnable skills that make true leaders.
Make these skills yours
Managers are able to learn these true leadership skills and seamlessly incorporate them in their day-to-day work. These skills can be acquired in the seminar “From Line Management to True Leadership.” Using effective and proven models and real-life examples, you are able to learn these invaluable basic skills on the way to true leadership.
Skills, that make the Difference
True Leaders are able to utilize the following skills:
… create meaning and inspiration, so that their teams give their best.
… create an atmosphere that ignites intrinsic motivation.
… instill a “success mindset” in themselves and their teams.
… earn the loyalty of their teams.
… intervene effectively when and if necessary.
… be highly empathetic.
… set goals in a manner that maximizes the probability of achievement.
… ask the “right” questions.
… to coach, challenge and foster.
… to delegate effectively.
… to instill the skill of re ection.
… to lead through challenging times.
… to take responsibility and in uence energy level and morale in their area of responsibility.
… to address conflicts and resolve these effectively.
Your managers already have certain skills that make a difference; otherwise, you would not be as successful as you already are. True leaders, however, are driven by restless dissatisfaction. They want to improve the way they work and the way they work with their teams. If you or your managers become proficient in the 15 principles that I have identi ed, they will significantly increase their impact and become true leaders!
When these skills and principles are assimilated, they will lead to an upbeat, successful atmosphere that generates high-quality work and unleashes the hidden potential of the human resources in their area of responsibility and within themselves.
